Siri, the assistant with a sense of humour, seems to be a hit with iPhone 4S users and is provoking general interest in intelligent agents. However, do we really know what her intentions are and how Siri actually works? We have the insider view of how Siri "really" operates.

Siri is currently getting lots of attention, but it seems she is basically a kit of parts. Take one voice input API, add a search engine, a chatbot and Wolfram Alpha and you have a Siri clone.
