JavaOne takes place in San Francisco from October 25-29. You can pre-register up until October 23 and there's still time to enter the JavaOne T-Shirt Design Challenge.

Java is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and designs submitted for the t-shirt challenge have to incorporate the evolution of Java over the last twenty years. Artwork submitted can be a pdf or an AI file and must be no longer than 12 inches wide by 14 inches high.

The winning design will be one of the available options at the Cross Your Tees experience, taking place all week long at JavaOne 2015. Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from four different designs to create their custom shirt, and one of those designs will be that of the winner of this challenge.

The deadline is October 7th with entries to be submitted by email. See the JavaOne T-Shirt Design Challenge for design specifications and details of how to submit and the Official Rules for eligibility.

Over its history JavaOne has grown into a huge event attracting speakers and attendees from all continents. This year the conference offers over 400 sessions in the following eight tracks. The links are to the Oracle blog posts about each:

  • Java, Devops, and the Cloud: Looking to stay current on the cloud and service-oriented development technologies? Whether it’s big data or microservices, this is the track for you.
  • Java and the Internet of Things: The IoT is always growing. More and more devices are controlled by the day! Come learn to set up your first system or improve your latest.
  • Java and Server-Side Development: Stay on top of the latest developments in Java EE and develop secure and scalable services on this track.
  • Java Clients and User Interfaces: User Interfaces are more important now than ever. Make sure your application looks as good as it works!
  • Java Development Tools and Agile Techniques: Improve your development productivity! New methods and techniques can help you write great code faster and easier.
