Bug fix release for Libre Office
Wednesday, 23 February 2011

LibreOffice 3.3.1 is now available to download. Intended to improve the stability of the software, it eliminate several bugs and crashes experienced since the launch of version 3.3 in January.

It also introduces new colorful icons based on The Document Foundation branding guidelines, and includes updates to several language versions.

A further minor release is expected in a month's time before the next major release in May.

In announcing this "micro-release" The Document Foundation also reports that it is being successful in its appeal for funds for its legal incorporation:

By just one week after the launch, more than 40,000 euros had been accumulated, bringing the final target very close. All additional funds collected before the closing date of March 21 will be used for operating expenses such as infrastructure costs and registration of domain names and trademarks, as well as for marketing expenses.
