Intel Buzz Workshop Comes To London

A full day of free sessions where you can learn about the latest in gaming and play with industry experts is on offer on December 8th in London.

The event, which takes place at Impact Hub Westminster, is being organized by Intel, and takes the form of a full day for gaming developers with technical sessions, panels and networking. There will also be some Indie games testing where you can show off your own game to a panel of experts.

Languages used for the sample code in the sessions include C, C++, and C#. The event is free, and everyone is welcome to attend.

The day includes a session on creating your own game engine, given by Gorm Lai, Senior Creative Technologist at Kotori Studios. Other sessions include:

  • Introduction to Realsense by Costas Stylianou
  • Unity3D by Oscar Clark
  • The current state of VR by Marco Colombo
  • LibGDX Cross-Platform Development by Tom Wojciechowski
  • DirectX12 by Leigh Davies
  • LibGDX by Tom Wojciechowski

There will also be a panel discussion on the future of indie games. You can also demo your own games by taking along your own game trailer for the Developer Showcase session, and troubleshoot your creations with the event's gaming gurus.

The aim of the workshop is to bring developers, designers and entrepreneurs who are involved or interested in being involved in the gaming scene together to network, share knowledge and discuss the challenges encountered. 

 

 

The event starts at 10:00 am and goes on until 9:00 pm with the evening session providing an opportunity for  devs to showcase their games alongside entertainment and networking.
