Is this a glimpse of a future in which robots will help Santa deliver the presents? Quite possibly as all these robots are currently under development. But if you watch to the very end you'll see what can go wrong.

The Christmas video stars two robots from the Autonomous System Lab of ETH Zurich.  Playing the role of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer we have StarlETH, a quadruped robot. And the assistant in the elves workshop is Rezero the balancing ballbot.

The third star is Ascending Technologies AscTec Firefly, a hexacopter.

Skip to section beyond the credits if you just want to see the outtakes which reveal why we are not quite ready to trust robots make deliveries on behalf of Santa.
