Now in its 17th year Dev Week 2014 takes place from March 31st to April 4th. Forty nine speakers and hundred of delegates will gather in London for over 100 sessions in the "Definitive Developer Conference".

Dev Week has an established reputation for covering the latest technologies and best practices relevant to software developers, DBAs and IT architects. In making this year's event even bigger than before  the agenda covers more sessions and more topics and over half the speakers are new to the event.

Although the venue has changed - Dev Week has moved to Central Hall, Westminster in London's West End, the format of the event remains the same - two days of workshops on the Monday and Friday with the three-day conference spanning Tuesday to Thursday, One handy innovation to help those who find it difficult to be out-of-office for an entire week is that you can now share you ticket with others in your team - although you have to register the names and days of attendance at registration.

And to help with the dilemma of choosing between sessions given 10 concurrent tracks, all breakout session are to be filmed and made available online to registered delegates.

This year's conference kicks off with the keynote Death by dogma versus assembling agile from Sander Hoogendoorn, Principal Technology Officer and Global Agile Thought-leader at Capgemini, in which he shows what happens to organisations and projects that are coached by well-meaning consultants with little experience. During his talk, Hoogendoorn will demonstrate how to assemble an agile approach that is specifically suited to your project, with many examples from real-life agile implementations.

The Wednesday keynote is on Integrity Driven Development. In this talk unit testing and test-driven development guru Roy Osherove asks "What does it mean to develop with integrity? Is it just a wishy-washy subject or can we translate it into actual day-to-day practices?" examining the consequences of adopting or avoiding integrity using real world examples.

The 100 breakout sessions and 20 one-day workshops cover a wide range of topics. The DevWeek Brochure has used color coding to help you identify the ones that best match your interests and the website provides a facility enabling you to filter and highlight talks to create a Personalized Agenda.

DevWeek is also a great opportunity for networking not only at lunch and coffee breaks but also at Tuesday's Drinks Reception where delegates can chat to Exhibitors and Sponsors. This year including K2, Grey Matter, Intel, Pluralsight, Neo4j and Embarcadero.
