This book explains the technology of The Internet of Things, the internetworking, and applications that are making IoT an everyday reality.  Authors Pethuru Raj and Anupama Raman begin with a discussion of IoT "ecosystems" and the technology that enables them, including wireless technologies, infrastructure and service discovery protocols, integration technologies and tools, and application and analytics enablement platforms.

Other chapters discuss next-generation cloud infrastructure, data analytics, and edge/fog computing. The second half of the book presents various IoT ecosystem use cases based around smart airports, and healthcare systems in a connected world. The book concludes with a chapter on IoT security and privacy.
