The prize up for grabs in this competition which opened on the 13 December is an Android HTC Desire HD handset and 50 hours access to the Perfecto Mobile Handset Cloud system.

To win entrants must break into the AntiTheft-installed devices, hosted online by Perfecto Mobile, and recover several pieces of information in order to prove that they have ‘cracked’ the lock. BlackBelt is so confident that nobody will be able to retrieve the necessary information, that when all attempts fail it plans to give the prize to the entrant who provides the best feedback on the security of smartphones.

All participants will also be offered a free three-hour trial service from Perfecto Mobile who specialise in automatic mobile testing facilities.
