Super Mario is 25 years old today
(Monday 13th September, 2010).

The Italian plumber has starred in over 200 games - you can see some of them in the video clip below -  and he has had T shirts, magazines and comic books featuring him.

His creation however was something more hit and miss as you can discover in our story of how he rescued Nintendo from a fate worse than death:

Super Mario - Nintendo goes forward.

So all that's left to say is Happy Birthday Mario - oh and when exactly is Luigi's birthday?
