Microsoft Graph data connect is now generally available. The announcement was made at this year's Build conference. Graph is a unified programmability model and APIs that can be used to access data within Office 365, Dynamics 365, Enterprise Mobility and Security, Windows 10, and Azure Active Directory. Microsoft Graph lets organizations map the relationships between people, information and activities within the organization. You can use REST APIs or SDKs to access the data and build apps.
Microsoft Graph data connect provides a set of tools to make it easier to delivery Microsoft Graph data to Azure data stores. This cached data serves as data sources for Azure development tools that you can use to build intelligent applications. Graph data connect has a set of services that are designed to provide a secure pipeline so that Office 365 data from across an organization is available to applications. Graph data connect supports granular consent to keep data access specific to the user, and you can specify a set of detailed data governance policies. Graph data connect is being licensed through Workplace Analytics Microsoft also announced the public preview of the Microsoft Graph toolkit. This can be used to add web components powered by Microsoft Graph to an app. Web components in the toolkit include files, tasks, and calendar items, and the toolkit is supported in React, Angular, and other JavaScript frameworks. Details were also announced of Microsoft Graph connectors that can be used to connect data to Microsoft 365 applications and services. These are currently in an invite-only private preview that should be expanded during the year. A number of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) datasets and resources have been made generally available on Microsoft Graph, alongside preview access to datasets from Dynamics 365 Business Central. This means you can add customer, vendor, and financial information to your Microsoft Graph-powered applications.
