Honeycomb statue in place at Android HQ
Sunday, 06 March 2011

What do Android developers do in their spare time? It seems the ones at Google's Android HQ design, build and move statues. One to celebrate Honeycomb has just been installed there.

Google's Android HQ already has garden ornaments related to earlier releases of the platform - in this photo the line up from left to right is Donut (1.6), Cupcake (1.5), Eclair (2.0 &2.1), FroYo (2.2). And in case you are wondering there is one of Gingerbread (2.3) but it rather dwarfs the rest and so isn't in this line up.

Android 3, aka Honeycomb has been receiving a lot of attention since it was unveiled in January and now it has taken pride of place in the Google Garden.
