Registration for Microsoft's annual developer event opens on January 22nd at 9:00 PST, that's 17:00 UTC. Tickets for last year's BUILD sold out in just over 24 hours and they could well go even more quickly this time round.
Spanning three days April 29, 2015 through May 1, 2015 BUILD 2015 is again happening at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
The reason for expecting heightened interest is that there's a big Windows 10 event at scheduled for the previous day, January 22nd at 9:00 PST. Billed as a deep dive into Windows 10 the presentations from this event will be streamed live.
So what can devs expect if they invest $2095 for a ticket to BUILD 2015? Judging from last year's event there will be a pretty packed timetable with a huge choice of breakout sessions.
Announcing the upcoming registration window Microsoft corporate vice president Steve Guggenheimer, who is likely to deliver one of the BUILD 2015 keynotes, writes;
Microsoft will enable developers to do some amazing things in 2015. Our shift to a mobile-first, cloud-first company is in full swing. You can already see a new developer opportunity emerging from the changes we’ve announced for Windows, Azure and our developer tools, including Open sourcing .NET to make our tools more powerful in today’s heterogeneous ecosystem.
This year’s Build will lay out how you can be the most productive and creative developer you can be and showcase the latest tools and technologies you’ll be using to get it done. You can expect some fun surprises along the way as well.
So, if you want to attend, set an alert for next Thursday so that you are not faced with a "Sold Out" message when you try to register.
