Tuesday, 06 July 2021

The deadline for applying for a scholarship to one of Udacity's most popular Nanodegree Programs has been extended to July 12, 2021. Apply now and gain exclusive access to a Foundations Course that constitutes the first steps to a career as a Machine Learning Engineer.

Machine Learning is currently a highly in-demand skill , hence the popularity of Udacity's Intermediate Level AWS Machine Learning Engineer Nanodegree. Now Udacity and AWS are collaborating to widen access to this recently refreshed program by offering 425 scholarship places.

According to Udacity:

The goal for this program is to up-level machine learning skills to all, and to cultivate the next generation of ML leaders across the world, with a focus on underrepresented groups. Through its We Power Tech Program, AWS collaborates with professional organizations that are leading initiatives to increase the diversity and talent in technical roles, including organizations like Girls In Tech and the National Society of Black Engineers.

The original application deadline for the AWS Machine Learning Scholarship Program was June 28th and the first cohort of students has now started on the AWS Machine Learning Foundations Course, which is intended to help developers of all skill levels get started with machine learning. The deadline has now been extended to July 12th, for a second cohort to gain exclusive access to the Foundations course. This course, which in future will be offered as a free course,  covers the fundamentals of machine learning, steps in machine learning process, basics of computer vision, reinforcement learning, generative AI, software engineering best practices for data science, and how to build your own python package.

At the end of the AWS Machine Learning Foundations Course in October learners will take an assessment from which top performers will be offered 425 scholarships to the AWS Machine Learning Engineer Nanodegree program, starting on October 23, 2021 and lasting 3 months.
