Pokki is running a new contest with a  top prize fund of $30,000 plus an expenses paid trip to the Game Developers Conference 2012 in San Francisco, California for creating a desktop game using HTML5.

To stand a chance of winning individuals or teams of up to 56 people need to create a game using open web technologies - HTML5 and  technology such as Canvas, WebGL, Web Audio APIs, and WebSockets. Flash is specifically excluded but third-party game engines (e.g. Impact, Cloudmach, and playn) and libraries (e.g. jQuery, Prototype) are permitted.
