DH2i has released DxEnterprise for SQL Server 2025 which brings mission-critical high availability capability for SQL Server 2025-backed AI applications.

DXEnterprise is a database management product that is infrastructure-agnostic and can be used to simplify database management, minimize database server downtime, and stretch high availability clustering between sites and clouds for disaster recovery.

The DXEnterprise developers say the release is the latest part of the company's range of high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions across Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes. The new version includes AI and scalability features, and means DH2i channel partners can guide customers through modernization initiatives and deploy end-to-end resilient infrastructures.

SQL Server 2025 is the first version of the database server to offer native support for AI, and DH2i says this will result in complex hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure to support the AI applications customers will create. Such infrastructure will require purpose-built, flexible HA and disaster recovery solutions.

As a high availability solution, DxEnterprise enables fully automatic failover for SQL Server Availability Groups in Kubernetes, as well as unified HA management and cross-platform failover for SQL Server on Windows and Linux. It also fully supports Active Directory for native and containerized SQL Server high availability deployments, and includes Sidecar container deployment. DxEnterprise includes a SQL Server Operator for Kubernetes for configuring and deploying SQL Server AGs (availability groups).

The developers say DxEnterprise's support for the public preview release of SQL Server 2025 means enterprise end customers can build and run AI apps in development environments across any mix of infrastructure, including on-prem, cloud, hybrid, and Kubernetes environments.

The new version's support for SQL Server 2025 features also includes vector database HA support for use with AI applications with embedded semantic search, vector indexes, and RAG pipelines.

It also has more efficient Kubernetes-native SQL Server Availability Group deployment methods that are fully aligned with SQL Server 2025. 's peak performance ambitions. The update also adds fully automated failover for SQL Server AGs on Kubernetes. The developers say this removes longstanding roadblocks related to deploying SQL Server AGs in containers. It supports organizations making use of modern workloads like Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and operational AI by increasing uptime, offering simplified failover, and seamless integration with their existing HA/DR strategies.

The support for the preview version means customers will be able to get ahead, so that once SQL Server 2025 is GA, they will be ready to take use the new AI capabilities in their mission-critical production environments.

Don Boxley, CEO and Co-Founder, DH2i, described the updated version as offering:

"seamless HA for SQL Server 2025 across Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes, along with first-of-its-kind support for vector databases and AI workloads. With DxEnterprise, partners are equipping clients to deploy modern, scalable, and intelligent applications with confidence... No matter the environment."

Bob Ward, Principal Architect, SQL Server, Microsoft, said:

"As we continue to innovate, we are always pleased to see trusted partners like DH2i extend our capabilities. Their work on high availability, especially in Kubernetes and vector-based environments, helps ensure that customers can flexibly build intelligent, secure, and resilient applications on the SQL Server platform."

The updated SQL Server 2025-ready version of DxEnterprise is available now.
