Aldebaran Robotics Is Recruiting And The Video Is Amazing

OK, so it's just a clip show, but the new Aldebaran recruiting video is a promo for the world of robotics - and not a terminator or an industrial robot in sight.

Aldebaran is one of the leaders in the current robot revolution and who hasn't seen a video of its Nao robot doing cute things or its Romeo robot doing useful things - if not very convincingly to date. Aldebaran has plans for getting robots out of the lab and into the real world and we are not talking about robot vacuum cleaners...

The good news is that after an investment of $13 million and about 80% of the company being bought for $100 million by Japanese Softbank, the company is expanding. It needs over 20 additional software and hardware engineers ranging from C++ developers to body animation engineers.

But even if you aren't interested in a new job, sit back and watch the compilation video of scenes from movies and more of robots being impressive. Who wouldn't want to make this particular future come true?

In case you are wondering, the clips are from Audi - A4, Bjork - All is full of love, Burn-E (Pixar), Nike, Phillips - the Gift, Saturn Evolution, Star Wars (E II and IV) and, of course, I Robot.

It's nice to have a video that doesn't dwell on the negative image of robots in most movies and fiction.
