If you’re developing for Windows Phone, there’s a new site that’s been designed to make developing apps for Windows Phone faster and more profitable.

Microsoft has redeveloped and relaunched the App Hub developer portal with a range of new features and tools as the Windows Phone Dev Center.

In a post on the Windows Team blog about the new site, Ash Wahi said that it has a:

cleaner look and streamlined set of menu options and quick links (Submit App, Get SDK, and View Samples) - all aimed at providing faster access to common tasks.

Another improvement being made soon will be the ability to register your apps in four times as many countries, and to be paid in three times as many regions.

Microsoft has also included PayPal among the options for being paid, in response to a popular request among existing Windows Phone developers. You’ll also be able to set specific prices for different countries and regions and also have the option of creating apps that are funded by ads using pubCenter.

Alongside the better pricing and payment options, come new analytic tools for tracking app downloads and performance. You can view downloads by purchase type—Free, Paid, Trial, and Beta, and see which paid-for downloads are “without trial” and “after trial”. There’s also a new My Money report showing monthly payouts. Beta testing of apps has also been extended so you can have thousands of beta testers rather than hundreds.
